Sunday Co-Ed Court Volleyball (Vanier)

When – Sept 21st – Nov 23rd, 2025
Where – Ottawa Technical School
Format – 6-on-6 Co-ed (2 Male/Female Min)
Level – Mixed Recreational
Length – 9 Weeks/9 Games
55 Minute games
Times – 3/4/5PM Starts, Rotating Equally between all teams
Fully Refereed
Playoffs with Prize Support

Groups – Individual fee multiplied by number of players

Description

Sunday volleyball will return to Ottawa Technical School this Fall/Winter/Spring. Games are all co-ed and fully refereed with a target level of mixed recreational. Divisions will be added if there is a significant skill gap between teams.

This league will run adjacent to volleyball training, which means players in the league looking for a long day of sports can pay an additional fee to train before their games if they want.

League cost is a bit more than other gym leagues do to elevated rental costs.

Format – 6-on-6 Co-ed (2 Male/Female Min)

Description

Monday Volleyball will return to Albert Street COLT Gym for the Fall/Winter/Spring.

This is a co-ed mixed recreational league, expect individuals teams with a mix of beginners and experienced players, with average teams being able to play solid three touch volleyball but with limited power on hits and blocks.

Description

Volleyball will return to Albert Street COLT gym for the fall, winter and spring seasons. Each season will be 10 weeks long and feature playoffs and an end of season party with prizes. There will be two divisions (upper rec with solid spiking power, bordering on intermediate, and beginner rec, where most teams still do three touch play but with less power). All games fully refereed with music and setup provided!

Description

This is a beginner oriented league, as the gym is small and will often frustrate more serious volleyball players. Great space if you’re just looking for a social night of volleyball that’s easy to access in the downtown Ottawa core.

Games are fully refereed with staff handling setup and takedown and providing balls and music. All leagues include an end of season party with prize support.

Wednesday Co-Ed Gym Volleyball (East)

When – Sept 17th – Nov 19th, 2025
Where – Colonel By High School, Louis Riel Dome, Other East gyms TBD
Format – 6-on-6 Co-ed (2 Male/Female Min)
Level – Upper Recreational
Length – 10 Weeks/10 Games
55 Minutes of play / 3 sets to 25
Times – 6:30/7/7:30/8/9PM Starts, Rotating Equally between all teams

This is an upper recreational oriented league, better suited for experienced players that enjoy solid setting/spiking/blocking.

The long term home of this league is louis riel dome, but other gyms will be used in september and October while we wait for an official date for louis riel to re-open.

Games are fully refereed with staff handling setup and takedown and providing balls and music. All leagues include an end of season party with prize support.
